What is a pull?
A pull is one complete cycle: the truck drops a can, the customer fills it, and the truck collects it and empties it. Operators count pulls, not customers, because the pull is the unit that earns.
What it costs
It depends on size, market and how much weight is included. One open dataset of dumpster rental prices put the national median at $380 for a 15-yard, $449 for a 20-yard and $555 for a 30-yard, and the Utah median for a 20-yard at $315 (dumpstercontrols.io market data, collected August to September 2026, CC BY 4.0).
When it comes up
Every job is at least one pull. A long project that fills a can twice is two pulls, which is also why a bin switch is sold separately.
