Social media guide

What a dumpster company
should post.

Jobs, prices and answers. Here’s what to post, and how to write it so Google can find it too.

Post your real jobs, your prices and answers to the questions customers already ask you on the phone. Each post should say what you did, where, and what size bin, in words a customer would search. Since July 2025, public posts from Instagram business and creator accounts can show up in Google search (PPC Land, July 2025), so a good caption works like a small web page.

12 things to post

  1. A bin on a job, with the town and size: “20-yard in Roy for a roof tear-off.”
  2. What fits in each size you rent.
  3. Your prices, and what’s included.
  4. A new review, with your thank-you.
  5. How you protect a driveway when you drop a can.
  6. What can’t go in the bin, and why.
  7. A cleanout before and after, with the customer’s OK.
  8. Your trucks and the people who drive them.
  9. What’s open this week: “Two 15s free Thursday.”
  10. A contractor you work with. Tag them.
  11. One phone question, answered: “Do I need a permit?” (say what your city requires).
  12. A local cleanup or event you’re part of.

Write the caption like a search

  • Start with the job or the question, in plain words: town, size, kind of job.
  • Put your company name and town in the caption, not only in the hashtags.
  • Add alt text that says what’s in the photo (Advanced settings, then Accessibility).
  • Check one setting: in Instagram, Settings, then Account privacy, “Allow public photos and videos to appear in search engine results” should be on.

What social media won’t do

It rarely books the job by itself. People see a post, then search your name, and land on your Google profile or your website. So those have to be ready when they do: prices, reviews, and a way to book without a call. Your Google profile · A site that books

Pull Count builds and runs the website, Google profile, reviews and local SEO that your posts send people to, from $897 a month.

Common questions

What should a dumpster rental company post on social media?

Your real jobs, your prices and answers to the questions customers already ask on the phone. Say the town, the bin size and the kind of job in every post, in the words a customer would search.

Which social media is best for a dumpster rental company?

Facebook and Instagram for homeowners and contractors in your towns, plus your Google Business Profile, which takes posts and photos too. Pick the one you will actually keep up.

Do Instagram posts show up on Google?

Yes. Since July 2025, public posts from Instagram business and creator accounts can appear in Google search. The caption is the text that gets read, so write it in plain words with your town and bin size.

How often should a dumpster company post?

As often as you can keep it real. Three posts a week of real jobs beats a post a day of filler, and a photo from the driver’s phone is fine.
