Flat fee versus pricing by fleet size
iCans charges the same whether you run one truck or five. Dumpster Rental Systems charges by container count: $79.95 for Launch, which has no routing, $195.95 for up to 20 cans and $279.95 for more than 20. Pricing by fleet size charges you for growing. Whether that is fair depends on whether the platform does proportionally more as you grow — for dispatch-heavy fleets it arguably does, which is why this is a real choice rather than an obvious one.
Card processing — the fee that is easy to miss
Several of these platforms take card payments, and card processing is a percentage of every charge plus a fixed fee per transaction. On a busy month that can be more than the subscription itself. Ask every vendor on this list what their processing rate is and whether they add anything on top of the underlying processor.

- Your competitor got here first. One operator per market, so sometimes the answer is no.
