What is the map pack?
The map pack — also called the local pack or three-pack — is the small map and three business listings that appear at the top of a local search. For a dumpster company it is usually the most valuable position on the internet.
What it costs
Nothing to appear in organically, which is the point. In one study, 42% of people searching a local term clicked a map pack result (Backlinko, 259 US searchers, 2020), and the pack only has three places in it.
When it comes up
On essentially every "dumpster rental near me" or "dumpster rental [town]" search. Which three businesses appear changes with where the searcher is standing, which is why a single rank check is misleading.
